How to Create a Better Reality - The Power of Focus
Your reality is a reflection of your beliefs, thoughts and emotions. By improving your thoughts you can improve your life. Whatever you pay attention to, you allow and invite into your experience. The more you think of something, the more it grows in your life. And what shapes your thoughts? Your conscious and subconscious beliefs!
You can create a more fulfilling life by shifting your perceptions from what you don't want to that which you do want, all while focusing on how you feel. The reason why many don't achieve their desired outcome is because they keep focusing on what they don't want, so they feed more energy into the problem, which makes it grow in their lives. Deliberate creation starts with understanding your inner desires. The best way to do this is to follow your feelings, as your feelings will always show you whether you are in alignment with your desires or going against them.
Your body has an emotional response to your thoughts. If you think a negative thought, your body will react with a negative emotion. Negative emotions are indicators that you aren't accepting an experience, and that you’re resisting or judging it in your mind (in other words, you’re thinking that something shouldn't have happened). This turns into a negative emotion in your body as a response to your thought.
When you think a positive thought, your body will respond with positive feelings. Positive emotions mean that you are accepting the experience in question and allowing it without any resistance. Our goal is to keep our focus on things that cause us joy and to follow what makes us feel good.
This doesn't however mean that from now on, you will only think positive thoughts as a means of avoiding negativity. Sugarcoating problems you need to deal with is not the solution. In fact, trying to maintain a permanent state of positivity can be very daunting, especially if you completely ignore your internal feelings at the same time. Be honest with yourself and take time to evaluate where you currently are and where you want to be. Using positive focus as a tool can significantly improve your life, but it can also hinder you if you avoid problems that need attention. It's important to stay in alignment with who you are so you’re coming from a place of authenticity rather than denial.
You can also create a more purposeful life by way of complete surrender, or simply accepting everything that comes your way. This does not mean that you become a victim to external circumstances - rather, that you stop resisting them and accept them for what they are (and not what you think they should be). Surrender is not a state in which you give your power away and escape your responsibilities. You are still actively participating in the co-creation of your life but you release your attachment to the outcome and are no longer resist what is or isn't currently showing up in your life.
It all starts with your intention and commitment to becoming aware of your thoughts and emotions. Question your thoughts! They are only thoughts, after all. They don't rule you. You decide what thoughts you accept in your reality and what you believe or don't believe.
Most of us don't even realise how important our beliefs are. Our beliefs determine what we think we can or cannot do. The problem with this is that most of our beliefs have never been questioned. They were automatically downloaded and accepted into our subconscious mind during childhood. As children, we observed our environment and adopted beliefs mainly from our parents, and then later from society. But do these beliefs reflect your true values? If not, you can change them. In fact, you can change any beliefs that no longer serve you. Your beliefs should support you rather than limit you.
Most people believe that things happen to them randomly. But what if that isn't the case? What if things don't just randomly happen to us but they are the effects of our thoughts and feelings? We live in a responsive universe where we receive constant feedback relative to our thoughts and emotions.
I am sure you have heard of the the Law of Attraction before. This is one of the main laws operating in our universe. It's like a holographic mirroring effect. Everything is a frequency and a vibration in this universe. We all hold different vibrations depending on what we think and how we feel at any given moment. Our thoughts and emotions interact with the external environment around us, shaping and influencing our subjective reality.
We don't usually make the connection between our thoughts and feelings and the external events that take place. However, we have more power over what happens around us than we think. Our external reality is constantly rearranged to reflect our thoughts and emotions, so we have all been subconsciously (or consciously) co-creating our subjective reality all along.
Once you acknowledge and comprehend this concept, your whole life will turn around, and you will live from a new empowered place. Taking full responsibility for your thoughts and feelings will allow you to line up with your desired outcome much faster.
You can start making conscious decisions by recognising your freedom of choice - your freedom to choose to focus on more positive thoughts and new beliefs that support you. Practise the attitude of gratitude and learn the art of appreciation; then watch your reality change around you. This is called deliberate and conscious creation, and taking full responsibility for your life and happiness.
